General Motors has recently announced that the Chevrolet Aveo model will get new engines, a 1.2 liter version and a 1.3 liter turbo diesel.
After the new generation of the Chevrolet Aveo, or Sonic as it is known over-seas, has made its official debut not too long ago, the North American based automaker has just announced that the model will get two new engines. According to the car manufacturer, the Chevrolet Aveo will get two new engine choices, the 1.2 liter unit, which is developing a total output of 86 horsepower, allowing the model to travel up to 1,290 km of which 454 on LPG, and the 1.3 liter turbo diesel, in three different versions, with 75 HP, 95 HP and 95 HP Eco.
Chevrolet says that the 1.3 liter turbo diesel 75 HP is available on the five-door Aveo and it’s promising an average of 3.8 liters of fuel every 100 km, while emitting just 99 g of CO2 every km. In the sedan, the same unit is burning 3.7 l/100 km and it’s emitting 97 g/km of CO2. The 1.3 liter diesel with 95 horsepower is offering 210 Nm of torque, with an average fuel consumption of 4.1 liters and 108 g/km of CO2 emissions, and the 95 HP Eco is coming with 190 Nm of torque and an average fuel consumption of 3.6 liters every 100 km while emitting 95 g/km of CO2.
