Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertible unveiled at SEMA image

The North American based automaker Chevrolet has unveiled the COPO Camaro Convertible during the 2012 SEMA Motor Show in Las Vegas.

According to the car manufacturer, the Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertible in question will try to find a new owner right after the North American automotive event at an auction block. Chevy says that the COPO Camaro Convertible presented at SEMA is the only example to use the Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission, which is mated to a 327 ci V8 engine and a 4.0 liter supercharger, producing a total output of 550 horsepower.

The Chevrolet COPO Camaro Convertible in question is also the one of 20 COPO Camaros to get the 327 4.0L supercharged engine under its hood and just one of two convertibles produced. The Inferno Orange color used on the COPO Camaro Convertible can be found on other 11 vehicles, with the other getting finishes in Silver Ice Metallic, Ashen Grey Metallic, Black, Victory Red or Summit white. The strong demand for the COPO Camaros might influence the limited production of the model but there is no official word on this subject for the moment yet.
