The Chevrolet Cruze has just received the facelift treatment for the sedan and hatchback models from the North American based automaker.
After the all-new Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon has been officially presented to the public earlier this year at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, revealing the facelifted front fascia for the first time, the Cruze sedan and Cruze hatchback have received the same treatment and even if this might seem to be official images, we must thank the guys at autoforum.cz for them.
As you can see from the images posted below this article, both the Chevrolet Cruze sedan and Chevrolet Cruze hatchback are coming with a new front fascia, with the mesh grille replace with horizontal bars, redesigned air intakes and some other minor modifications, while the rear end doesn’t seem to be that different from the original vehicles. The European version of the Chevrolet Cruze will also get a new diesel engine, once the facelift will hit the market.
The new engine has been also confirmed by Chevrolet and this will come as a 1.7 liter VCDi unit, which is generating a total output of 130 BHP and it’s emitting just 119 g/km. Perhaps the unit has something in common with Opel but we have to wait a bit until we can find out. More details on the facelifted Cruze will be announced at the Paris Motor Show in September, when the model is expected to be revealed.
