The US automaker has taken the wraps off its 2017 S10 / Colorado during the Agrishow in Brazil – with the overseas version also coming with a mild upgrade.
The model will be hitting dealerships later on this year, no rx with the facelift touching the front end – it packs a modified grille flanked by subtly revised headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. There’s also a new bonnet, clinic fresh sets of alloys and an upgraded color palette. The exterior changes have been deemed subtle, but the cabin features ampler revisions. There’s a completely new dashboard, a modern instrument cluster, and an updated MyLink infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. The future owners will also get better switchgear, new door panels, and higher quality materials. Drivers can also ask for a wider array of options such as rain-sensing wipers, an electrochromic rear view mirror, and a rearview camera.
For the Brazilian market the Colorado wears the S10 moniker and will have under the hood two different motors: 2.5-liter SIDI Flex and a 2.8-liter turbodiesel. Chevrolet is keeping performance specifications for a latter, closer to launch, reveal and only tipped us to the enhanced fuel efficiency. The consumption has been lowered by up to five percent via the new aerodynamics and the use of new, lighter materials. The 2017 Colorado is set to reach numerous other international markets and already Holden has confirmed their intention to present the Australia-spec version of the pickup sometimes this year.
