The new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette has been produced in over 37,000 units for the 2014 model year.
The huge General Motors recalls haven’t seem to affect the production of the new-gen Chevrolet Corvette which was assembled in 37,288 units for the 2014 model year. This is the third best production number of the popular sports car, after back in 2007 just over 40,000 were produced and two years before, 37,372 units have been assembled. A total of 56 percent of all new Corvette models were Z51s and just 35 percent of customers have chosen the 7-speed manual transmission instead of the 6-speed automatic.
For the 2014 model year, the Chevrolet Corvette has been ordered in a base convertible version by 14 percent of the customers, totaling 5,043 units, while the Z51 Convertible has been created in 5,680 units, 15 percent. The base Coupe variant has been produced in 11,134 units or 30 percent while the Z51 Coupe, in the 2014 model year, has been assembled in 15,431 units, or 41 percent. The most popular color was the Torch Red and the most popular interior shade was the Jet Black Leather.
