The North American based automaker Chevrolet is planning to produce a facelift for the current Malibu generation which will bring new lines to the sedan.
The Chevrolet Malibu isn’t around for so long but that isn’t stopping General Motors to update it and the model is expected to receive a facelift very soon. When speaking to Automotive News, the GM CEO, Dan Akerson, has said that the Chevy Malibu will receive an update and the model will get a revised front fascia and the same front grille found on other models in the company’s lineup like the 2014 Impala or the 2013 Traverse.
“We are going to do a mid-cycle enhancement, not dramatic, by this time next year”, said the General Motors CEO, Dan Akerson, when speaking to Automotive News.
According to the company’s official, the facelifted version of the Malibu is expected to do quite well in attracting new customers into the Chevrolet brand and, in fact, this is the only reason why the automaker is planning to update the model. The Chevy Malibu facelift will be launched worldwide in 2013. Additional details on the future version of the sedan are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its debut.
