Chevrolet Malibu Turbo Performance Concept previewed for SEMA image

Chevrolet has recently previewed the Malibu Turbo Performance Concept which will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 SEMA Motor Show in Las Vegas.

According to the North American based automaker, the Chevrolet Malibu Turbo Performance Concept is powered by the same 2.0 liter turbo engine found on the Malibu Turbo, but its total output has been increased to 259 HP, which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 155 mph. This is actually the fastest Malibu to be ever created by Chevrolet.

“At Chevrolet, performance comes in many different forms that appeal to many different customers – and that’s exactly what we demonstrate at the SEMA Show. We play close attention to the reaction our concepts receive, because the feedback helps determine the viability for producing new accessories and even special-edition production vehicles”, says the Chevrolet marketing vice president, Chris Perry.

Chevy says that the Malibu Turbo Performance Concept is getting a custom lower grille and fog lamp grilles, front splitter, rear diffuser, black ice-tinted chrome accents, blaze red painted fog lamp bezels, inner exhaust bezels, black painted mesh grille, clear taillamp senses, Turbo badges, 20×8.5-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 255/35 Pirelli P Zero tires, Recaro sports seats, Jet Black leather and more.
