The North American based automaker Chevrolet has recently announced that approximately 1,000 bookings have been placed for the Sail, ever since the model has been launched in India.
After making a discreet appearance a few weeks ago during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit and then being launched in India, the Chevrolet Sail is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with an announcement made by the company. According to the car manufacturer, approximately 1,000 units of the Sail have been ordered until now, ever since the model has made its way onto the Indian auto market on the 1st of February.
The Chevrolet Sail is available from Rs. 4.99 lakhs for the base entry-level version, the LS starts at Rs. 5.49 lakhs, the LS ABS is coming from 5.70 lakhs and the LT ABS starts at Rs. 6.41 lakhs. If you prefer a diesel, Chevy is offering you the same versions mentioned above, with the base costing Rs. 6.29 lakhs, the LS priced from Rs. 6.59 lakhs, the LS ABS starting from Rs. 6.80 lakhs and the top of the line LT ABS costing 7.51 lakhs. The Chevy Sail is being exported from China and it’s 4.2 meters long, 1,69 meters wide and 1.5 meters tall. All variants are being offered with a 3-year / 100,000 km standard warranty.
