Chevrolet Silverado gets updated for 2016 model year image

The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado has been officially unveiled and it has received some interesting upgrades.

Chevrolet has made a few updates on the Silverado in the 2016 model year and this is now coming with the reshaped fog lights with LED technology, the chrome detailing, a body colored strip which is running across the middle of the grille, LED daytime running lights, the updated hood and some tweaks made to the front bumper, amongst others.

“The redesigned 2016 Silverado will build on Chevy Trucks’ legacy of dependability. It will feature a more muscular appearance and offer new customer-focused technologies,” said Sandor Piszar, marketing director for Chevy Trucks. “New front end designs with bold horizontal elements, sculpted hoods and dramatic lighting reflect the strength and refinement that have helped make Silverado the fastest growing full-size pickup brand this year.”

Besides the goodies mentioned above, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado is also getting the latest generation of the MyLink infotainment system which is adding support for the Android Auto and the Apple CarPlay. The model in question is also bringing the 8-speed automatic transmission, along with the extra safety-related technologies. If you were hoping to find out more about the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, you will be disappointed because we’re not even sure, at this point, what its official starting price will be. The vehicle will be offered for sale this fall and additional details on it should be announced then.
