Chevrolet has recently brought the Spark EV to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, where the model has made its European debut.
Following its official presentation during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, back in 2012, the brand new Chevrolet Spark EV has finally arrived on the Old Continent too, where the North American based automaker has pulled the wraps off its body during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. According to the car manufacturer, the Chevrolet Spark EV is the most advanced electric motor and battery system ever made by General Motors.
Power to the Chevrolet Spark EV is being provided, just like its name suggests, by an electric motor, which is producing a total output of 128 HP and with a peak torque of 400 lb-ft. the small “green” vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.5 seconds. The lithium-ion battery found on the Spark EV can be charged up to 80 percent in 20 minutes using fast charging systems. In the U.S., prices for the Chevy Spark EV cost less than 32,500 USD before incentives, but expect a higher price of the model in Europe. Additional details on the “green” Spark are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its launch.
