The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu will be officially presented to the public during the 2015 New York Auto Show, which will be opening its gates next month.
The North American based automaker Chevrolet is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the brand new Malibu, during the 2015 New York Auto Show, which will be starting next month. In order to put the model into the spotlights once again, the carmaker has released a new teaser image with it which, as you’ve seen, it isn’t revealing that much. However, we can still notice the sloping roof line and the more curvaceous body, along with what seem to be LED taillights, LED strip daytime running lights added to the front bumper and a new design for the headlights.
The brand new mid-size sedan will be riding on a completely new platform which will be adding about 4 inches to the wheelbase, so expect a more spacious cabin with more legroom to the rear. The platform is using high-strength steel, which will drop approximately 136 kg (300 lbs) from its weight. As far as the design goes, this should be “ground breaking”, according to a recent report and even confirmed by the image posted above, which seems to reveal a four-door coupe looks for the future model. Additional details on the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu are limited at this time and will be announced during the 2015 New York Auto Show, in April, when it will be finally unveiled.
