The North American based aftermarket specialists at Hennessey have recently pulled the wraps off their latest creation, a new tuning program for the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
After the new Chevrolet Camaro has already been launched in several markets already and with enough people still wanting it, the American muscle car is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the help of Hennessey, who has announced a new tuning program for the vehicle. Anyone knowing how Hennessey works, knows that most of the vehicles get an impressive output squeezed out of the engine and this is the exact case of the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which can now develop 1,021 horsepower.
According to the aftermarket specialists at Hennessey, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is coming with a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 engine, which has been equipped with a cold air induction system, an upgraded intercooler and stainless steel headers. The ECU has also been modified and thanks to these changes, the Camaro ZL1 is now producing 658 HP (580 in standard) in Stage 1. Adding a new camshaft and high flow cylinder heads is enabling the model to produce 707 HP in Stage 2 and in Stage 3, customers can order the HPE800 or the HPE1000 package, producing 800 HP and 1,021HP respectively. There is no word on pricing just yet.
