The North American based automaker Chevrolet has recently announced the first details on the new Colorado Sport Concept, for no obvious reason.
Chevrolet is known for introducing, every once in a while, some modified versions of its already available vehicles, only to call them concepts afterwards and this is exactly what has happened to the Colorado, with the so-called Colorado Sport Concept. The model in question has been based on the Colorado Crew Cab Z71 and it is coming with a sport exterior design, with wide side steps, plastic body cladding, splash guards, a roll bar and unique alloy wheels.
The new Chevrolet Colorado Sport Concept is also coming with the GearOn accessory system, allowing the storage of larger items above the bed, such as kayaks and bikes, leaving plenty of room for smaller items, underneath. We are not sure what is powering this one-off vehicle but the standard version has a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, rated at 200 HP (149 kW) and 258 Nm (191 lb-ft) of torque. This can also be ordered with the larger 3.6 liter V6, rated at 305 HP (227 kW) and 364 Nm (269 lb-ft) of torque. More details on the Colorado Sport Concept are limited for the moment.
