Chevrolet has recently announced its plans to introduce the Silverado Texas Edition, which should add some interesting items to the model.
According to the North American based automaker, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Texas Edition will pay its tribute to the lone star state. The model in question has been designed to recognize the unique bond between the U.S. state and its pickup trucks.
“The Silverado Texas Edition recognizes the fact that one out of every six full-size pickups are sold in Texas. It combines features that add real value for Silverado customers with unique badging that honors the connection between Texans and their trucks”, said the Silverado marketing director, Maria Rohrer.
The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Texas Edition is getting body color trim, a trailering package, a rear locking differential, 20-inch aluminum wheels and more, while the LTZ top of the line is adding a Bose audio system and some chrome accents. The model is powered by a 4.3 liter V6 engine, which is good for 285 HP (212 kW), or by a larger 5.3 liter V8, which will produce 355 HP (250 kW). The 2014 Silverado Texas Edition will only be sold in Texas, while other states will get a similar optional Custom Sport package.
