Chevrolet has accidentally leaked the first details with the 2015 Corvette Z06, ahead of the model’s official debut which has been scheduled for next Monday.
The first details with the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 have recently placed the sports car into the spotlights for the first time as the North American based automaker has accidentally leaked them online. The model in question will be taking its power from a 7.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, which will develop a total output of 620 HP (462 kW) and it will have a peak torque of 880 Nm (650 lb-ft).
No matter what engines the new Chevy Corvette Z06 will use, one thing is for sure, this will be way more powerful than its predecessor, which was good for “only” 505 HP (377 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque, and it will be close to what the ZR1 is offering, with its 638 HP (476 kW) and 818 Nm (604 lb-ft) of torque, coming from the smaller but supercharged 6.2 liter V8 engine. Sadly we have no more details on the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 for the moment and we will have to wait for the model to debut in NAIAS in order to find out more about it.
