The North American based automaker Chevrolet is planning to introduce the RS version of the Sonic to Europe, where the model will be known as the Aveo.
The announcement hasn’t been officially made just yet, but according to the guys at autowp.ru, the Chevrolet Sonic RS is currently getting ready to receive new badges on its body in order to make its way onto the auto market on the Old Continent. The model in question will be renamed as the Chevrolet Aveo RS and it will look basically identical to the U.S. version. The image posted above wants to preview the new Chevrolet Aveo RS.
The hottest version of the Chevy Aveo should receive the same aggressive body kit, five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, aluminum sport pedals, front bucket seats wrapped in leather, different instrument cluster graphics, red stitching on the steering wheel and shift knob and a leather wrapped steering wheel. As for the color options, these may be the Black Granite Metallic, the Cyber Gray Metallic, the Summit White, Victory Red and orange. Power should be provided by a 1.4 liter Ecotec turbocharged engine, which should be good for 138 HP (103 kW) and 200 Nm of torque (148 lb-ft), mated to a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission.
