Chevy Spark EV to arrive in Europe at Geneva
The North American based automaker Chevrolet has recently announced the arrival of the Spark EV in Europe, where the model will be unveiled for the first time in Geneva, next month.
Following its official presentation during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show back in 2012, the new Chevrolet Spark EV is now getting ready to arrive on the Old Continent too. According to the car manufacturer, the Chevrolet Spark EV will make its public debut in Europe in March, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. GM says that this is the most advanced electric motor and battery system ever made by the company.
The Chevrolet Spark EV is coming with en electric motor which is generating a total output of 128 BHP and it has a peak torque of 400 lb-ft. This is enough to allow the small electric vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.5 seconds. Fast charging systems are expected to charge the lithium-ion battery up to 80 percent in just 20 minutes. In the United States, the model is expected to cost less than 32,500 USD before incentives. Details on the European Spark EV are limited for the moment and will be announced in Geneva.
