Chevy SS going to New York Auto Show

Chevrolet has recently announced its plans to introduce the SS during the 2013 New York Auto Show, which will officially open its gates for the public on the 27th of March.

After we have seen the Chevrolet SS for the first time just a few weeks ago, time has come for the model to make its public debut, which has been scheduled for the 27th of March, during the 2013 New York Auto Show. The powerful vehicle will share the same space at the U.S. automotive event with the facelifted version of the Camaro SS and with the brand new Corvette Stingray Convertible, which was unveiled in Geneva, a couple of weeks ago.

As a quick reminder, the 2014 Chevrolet SS is getting a 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood, which is producing a total output of 415 HP (309 kW) and 415 lb-ft of torque (562 Nm), being just 35 HP (26 kW) and 35 lb-ft of torque (47 Nm) less powerful than the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, allowing the performance sedan to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in approximately 5 seconds. Additional details on the SS are limited and will be announced close to its launch.
