General Motors has recently announced that the 2014 Chevrolet SS won’t be sold in Canada.
The Chevrolet SS is one of the most awaited high performance cars signed by the GM brand recently and if you’re living in Canada than this news will probably upset you, unless you’re a Chrysler fan. According to the North American based automaker General Motors, the 2014 Chevrolet SS won’t be offered in Canada. The company didn’t offer any reason of why Canadians won’t be able to buy the 2014 SS from their local Chevy dealers. However, Canada will receive the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, so this will probably make your day better if you’re living in the country.
As a quick reminder, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has been recently unveiled. The model is getting a 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood, which is producing a total output of 415 HP (309 kW) and 415 lb-ft of torque (562 Nm), being just 35 HP (26 kW) and 35 lb-ft of torque (47 Nm) less powerful than the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, allowing the performance sedan to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in approximately 5 seconds. Additional details on the SS are limited and will be announced close to its launch.
