The 2014th edition of the Chicago Auto Show has marked the debut of the facelifted version of the Kia Optima Hybrid.
The 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid is a modestly revised model, which has received some interesting updates to it, including the new front bumper with new air vents, the mesh grille, the LED infused headlights, the 16- or the 17-inch alloy wheels and more. Changes made to the cabin are limited and they include the UVO eServices infotainment system, the eight-speaker Infinity audio system and others.
“It’s unique in its segment because it not only gives owners savings at the gas pump and a smaller carbon footprint, but it also delivers world-class design, robust performance and an upscale personality, making it a truly attractive and well-rounded hybrid offer”, says Orth Hedrick about it, the KMA vice president of product planning.
The 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid has a four-cylinder 2.4 liter engine under its hood, which is being backed up by an electric motor and by a lithium polymer battery. The total output produced stands at 199 HP (148 kW) and 318 Nm (235 lb-ft) of torque. The model can return 36 / 40 / 38 mpg in city / highway / combined. No pricing details have been announced on it so far.
