Chicago Auto Show: Mazda MX-5 Accessories Design Concept image

The Mazda MX-5 Accessories Design Concept has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.

Mazda has officially pulled the wraps off the new MX-5 Accessories Design Concept at the Chicago automotive event which is taking place as we speak. The model’s unveil is following a series of teaser images and it is getting a Ceramic Metallic paint, an aerodynamic body kit, side sill extensions, a rear spoiler lip, a rear bumper skirt, a Brembo braking system and it is riding on the 17-inch alloy wheels, signed by BBS, which are wrapped in 205/45 tires.

“There is so much MX-5 history at the Chicago Auto Show, and we wanted to continue building on that. The MX-5 is the soul of our company, and its enthusiast following both inside and outside of Mazda drives us to keep innovating new ideas for it and the rest of our lineup”, said the Mazda North American Operations’ CEO and president, Jim O’Sullivan.

Besides the above mentioned features, the new Mazda MX-5 Accessories Design Concept is also packing a carbon fiber luggage rack and under its hood the 2.0 liter four-cylinder SkyActiv-G engine is resting. The unit is capable of producing a total output of 155 HP (116 kW) and it has a peak torque of 200 Nm (148 lb-ft). The engine is connected to a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will be arriving in dealerships across the U.S. starting this summer.
