Another example of the new Ford GT generation has been brought recently to the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
After being officially presented to the public in a world premiere, and taking everyone by surprise, during the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, a month ago, the 2017 Ford GT has been brought to its second automotive event, the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. We are not exactly sure whether this is the same example and it has been resprayed or if it is another unit, but even so, we have to admit that it looks gorgeous in its new finish.
The brand new Ford GT will be entering production at the end of next year and it will go on sale as a 2017 model year. The impressive supercar has received an evolutionary design which is making it look instantly recognizable. This has a carbon fiber monocoque, body panels with aluminum subframes and the best word to describe it would be “beautiful”. We are not sure if the same word can describe its driving feel but we have to remind your that it is taking its power from a mid-mounted 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 engine, which is capable of producing no less than 600 HP (447 kW). Power is being sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. No performance specifications have been released on the new Ford GT at the Chicago Auto Show so we will probably have to wait for another event in order to find out more about it.
