The Chrysler Group LLC has recently brought the Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core Edition and the Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core Edition to the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, in a premiere.
According to the North American based automaker, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core Edition and the Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core Edition are both coming with faux carbon fiber trim, with Axel cloth bolsters, with Ballistic cloth seats, with unique badging, black brake calipers and 20-inch aluminum rims. Prices for the Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core Edition have been set at 38,995 USD, while for the Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core Edition, future owners will have to pay 43,995 USD, without the destination charge.
Power to the two models is being provided by a 6.4 liter HEMI V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 470 BHP (351 kW) and it has a peak torque of 47lb-ft (637 Nm). The Challenger can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just under 4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 182 mph (293 km/h), as well the 300, which can hit 175 mph (282 km/h).
