The Audi A6 L e-tron has been recently introduced on the Chinese automotive market but this will be offered for sale next year, after production will start at the Changchun factory.
The Audi A6 L e-tron plug-in hybrid is a vehicle which has been developed exclusively for the Chinese automotive market. This is basically the plug-in hybrid e-tron version of the already popular A6 L and it can easily stand out from a crowd thanks to the new and unique 18-inch e-tron alloy wheels, to the LED lights, the Explore Blue exterior paint scheme, the e-tron badges on the front fenders, the rear bumper with the dual exhaust system and several other tweaks.
The new Audi A6 L e-tron is packing a 2.0 liter four-cylinder TFSI engine, which is backed up by an electric motor. The internal combustion engine is rated at 211 HP (155 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, while the electric motor is providing an extra 124 HP (91 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque.
The total output produced is 245 HP (180 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. The model, which is weighing just over 2,000 kg, needs 8.4s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill.
Audi says that the “green” car has an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h (131 mph) and it can run on electric power for up to 135 km/h (84 mph). The average fuel consumption stands at just 2.2 liters every 100 km (128.4 mpg UK / 106.9 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions stop at 52 g/km. The 14.1 kWh lithium ion battery is allowing it to run as much as 50 km (31 miles) and the total range stands at 880 km (547 miles).
