Audi remains on course for success in China. The German automaker sold 31 505 vehicles in China – up 37 percent compared to the same month last year.
In addition, in the first quarter the company’s sales in China and Hong Kong increased by 40 percent to 90063 units.
– Locally produced A4 Long: 24 536 vehicles – up 68 percent
– Audi Q5: 20 870 units – up 93 percent
“This figure sets a new record. Audi just had its most successful quarter ever in China,” says Peter Schwarzenbauer, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Marketing and Sales.
“And we plan on generating double-digit sales growth in coming months in the Chinese market.”
The imported vehicles increased by 51 percent to 17 379 units (excluding Hong Kong).
The company expects the introduction of its Audi A6L model, to be presented at the upcoming Beijing auto show, to boost sales further.
