Cadillac is planning to introduced a long wheelbase version of the ATS and the first images with such a model have recently hit the web.
The Chinese auto market has a large appetite for long wheelbase vehicles and with almost every carmaker offering such versions to their models, Cadillac couldn’t stay away from future potential buyers of their ATS. The first images with a Cadillac ATS in a long wheelbase variant have recently hit the web and it will be offering longer passenger doors, a different roofline behind the B-pillar and an elongated rear side window design, amongst others.
Ten more centimeters will be added to the wheelbase length of 2,875 and this will be translated into more legroom on the rear seats, providing a more comfortable ride. As far as the engine lineup goes, chances are Cadillac will be offering a choice of three units, the 2.5 liter naturally aspirated 200 HP as an entry-level, a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 272 HP as a mid range and a top of the line 3.6 liter V6, packing 321 HP, on the top of the line version. More details on the Cadillac ATS LWB are limited for the moment and will probably be announced close to its introduction.
