Chinese international offensive is on: Qoros delivers first car image

Although until now the Chinese auto industry didn’t manage to go well beyond its borders, things could change – as the companies established international brands. One of them, Qoros, marked the milestone of delivering its first customer car.

Six years after the formation of the new international car brand, Qoros handed over its first customer car – although it did it to a Chinese customer. At a celebratory event at the Guanshan dealership in Shanghai, Yu Min, a 28-year old interior designer from Shanghai, was handed the keys to his brand new Qoros 3 Sedan by Mr Volker Steinwascher, Vice Chairman of Qoros.

Mr Volker Steinwascher commented: “Qoros has worked hard over the last six years to develop stylish, innovative cars to European standards of safety and quality and that define a New Premium. Handing over our very first customer car in China is an immensely proud day for me and everyone in the company, and one we will remember for a very long time.”

The Qoros 3 Sedan has been developed to European standards of safety, refinement and quality. In September 2013, the model became the first car developed in China to be awarded five stars in Euro NCAP crash tests, and also the highest score in the organization’s 2013 assessment program so far.
