The North American based automaker Chrysler has announced that the 200 Super S will be presented at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the Chrysler 200 Super S Tuning Pack will be officially presented to the public at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show as a showcase for Mopar. Chrysler says that the 200 Super S comes in two stages, where Stage 1 is based on appearance and Stage two comes with several performance upgrades. The Stage 1 is coming with a large chin spoiler, black mesh upper and lower grills, trunk lid spoiler, side skirts, rear bumper diffuser with exhaust openings, chrome trim, “200” badges and 18 inch S alloy rims. Stage 2 brings a coil-over suspension to adjust the ride height, a cat-back exhaust system and a cold-air intake.
“The Super S is Mopar’s interpretation of the Chrysler 200. The extensive list of high-quality Mopar parts enhances the performance and appearance of our Chrysler 200”, said the President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care brand, Pietro Gorlier.
The Chrysler 200 is coming with a 2.4 liter engine which is developing a total output of 173 horsepower and has a peak torque of 166 lb-ft (255 Nm), with an estimated 21 / 30 mpg (city / highway), mated to either a four-speed or a six-speed automatic transmission. The 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine, with its 283 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque (353 Nm), is also available for the model, having an estimated fuel economy of 19 / 29 mpg (city / highway).
