Parents looking to lurk in the shadows with their huge Pacifica minivans now have a factory solution – the new S Appearance Package, bringing a Darth Vader-inspired look.
If you won’t mind the Batman with kids jokes, the Pacifica with the new S Appearance Package receives a raft of dark accents – such as Gloss Black trim for the grille surround, headlight eyebrows, window surrounds, and rear valance molding. Then you also have darkened metallic pieces, labeled as Black Noise by Chrysler, for the badges, including the Pacifica and S emblems. The model also brings new goodies such as dark 18-inch wheels, along with a huge 20-inch option.
Inside the cabin everything is dark as well – from headliner and visors to black seats with S logo – fortunately there’s also Light Diesel Gray stitching to break up the monotony. The instrument panel and door trim come with a new, gunmetal gray hue nicknamed Anodized Ice Cave. The S Appearance Package is quite affordable too – $595 above the Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited trim prices of the 2018 Pacifica. The 20-inch wheels do come for almost double though – an additional $995. The 2018 Pacifica range also comes with new features – standard SafetyTec driver assistance package with blind spot monitoring, rear cross path detection, and rear parking assist, while the upgraded Uconnect 4 infotainment system now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
