Citroen has recently announced its plans to introduce the Berlingo Electric at this year’s IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover.
According to the French based automaker, the Citroen Berlingo Electric will be officially presented to the public at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany, and it will go on sale sometimes next year. The Citroen Berlingo Electric has been designed in order to appeal to business customers and the van has a cargo capacity of 4.1 cubic meters (145 cubic feet), and a payload capacity of 675 kg (1488 lbs).
The Citroen Berlingo Electric is getting a 22.5 kWh battery which is powering the electric motor and the total output developed is 67 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque (147 lb-ft). This will enable the “green” model to travel up to 170 km (106 miles) on a single charger. When the battery will be depleted, owners of the Berlingo EV will be able to use the quick-charge mode which will charge the battery at 80 percent in just 30 minutes, otherwise, 6 to 12 hours are required to charge the battery form a standard household outlet.
