The facelifted version of the Citroen Berlingo has been unveiled over the web ahead of its debut which is scheduled for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, on the 3rd of March.
In between removing the Citroen badges from its DS models, the French based automaker Citroen is also focusing on the development of updated vehicles, like this Berlingo, which has received a subtle facelift recently. The model in question will be officially presented to the public at the Swiss automotive event, in a couple of weeks, but until then, it has been revealed over the web.
The 2016 Citroen Berlingo is getting some subtle styling which includes the LED daytime running lights which have been repositioned, the new front bumper, the redesigned front grille and two new body colors, the Moka Grey and the Cumulus Grey, which should be enough to put some distance between it and the already available versions.
The car manufacturer is saying that the updated Berlingo has received goodies such as the Mirror Screen technology, the 7-inch Touchdrive Interface, the Active City Brake system, the front parking sensors, the rearview camera and several other tweaks. As far as the engine lineup goes, the BlueHDI Euro6 diesel range has been updated and this is also offering the BlueHDI 120 S&S, connected to the 6-speed manual transmission. Three diesel engines are available for the small utility vehicle, the 74 HP, the 99 HP and the 118 HP, along with an electric version providing a range of 170 km by its 49 kW and 200 Nm of torque electric motor.
