The brand new Citroen C3 XR production version has been officially unveiled by the French based automaker, as the crossover will go on sale in China starting this December.
The French based automaker Citroen has officially pulled the wraps off its newest creation, the brand new C3 XR. This is actually the production version of the C3 XR Concept, which has been shown at the Beijing Auto Show, and the vehicle will be put together in some numbers, being aimed exclusively at the Chinese automotive market. The company is actually hoping that the model will see the same success that the Peugeot 2008 has seen in Europe.
Compared to the one-off vehicle, the production Citroen C3 XR is slightly different and, just like it was expected, it has been toned down, as we can see the modified headlights, the exhaust pipes or the new rear bumper, amongst others. In the Asian country, the Citroen C3 XR will be coming with a 1.6 liter turbocharged petrol engine under its hood, equipped with the stop/start technology, which is capable of producing 158 HP. The unit will be connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission, which will send power to the front-wheel drive.
