The high demand for the Citroen C4 Cactus means that the French based automaker will increase production for the funky looking crossover.
One of the weirdest crossovers money can buy these days is the Citroen C4 Cactus as this is looking basically like a concept car. The model in question is in fact so appreciated that the carmaker will have to increase production in order to keep up with the high demand. The vehicle will be produced in more numbers, at the Villaverde facility, near Madrid, in Spain, and the company says that 20 percent more examples will be put together here daily.
According to the Spanish automotive media, the Villaverde plant employees will have to work on four Saturdays in November in order to assemble the Citroen C4 Cactus, thanks to the high demand. One of the reasons of the model’s success is its starting price which on its home market, in France, starts from just 13,950 euros. The C4 Cactus is being offered in a 5-door body style, with a front engine and front-wheel drive layout, being based on the same platform as the C3, which has been stretched. The model is coming with two engines under its hood and with a choice of three transmissions.
