Citroen has recently announced its plans to introduce the upgraded C4 Picasso in Australia, where the model should arrive in the second quarter of 2014.
Looking for a brand new family MPV in Australia will become easier starting next year as the French based automaker is saying that the new C4 Picasso will make its way onto the market. The model in question will arrive in showrooms in the second quarter of 2014, so patience is the key.
“We weren’t going to bring in [C4] Picasso but after seeing it I think it deserved a study. It’s a matter of where it fits into the overall product plan. Our dealers [are] certainly fans of it and want to see it come here”, said the Citroen Australia general manager John Startari.
The Citroen C4 Picasso’s second generation is riding on the company’s new EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform 2) architecture and it’s 40 mm shorter than before, but it’s riding on a 53 mm longer wheelbase, increasing the space in the cabin. Engine lineup will include the diesels ranging from 67 kW to 110 kW and some petrol units. The model has been inspired by the Technospace Concept unveiled in Geneva.
