Citroen C5 gets updated for new model year image

Citroen has performed a series of updates for the C5 and C5 Tourer on the 2016 model year.

Besides being busy with the recently launched DS brand, the French based automaker Citroen is also focusing on updating the C5 range. The two models, the C5 and the C5 Tourer have received a series of extra items which should make them a viable choice for their future buyers who haven’t been considering a car signed by this brand. The carmaker says that the C5 family is getting new styling features which also include the fresh wheels, 17-inch alloy for the Comfort trim level and 18-inch in size for the Hydractive Exclusive equipment level.

Besides these, the company has also added a new exterior color to the range, the so-called Moka Brown. Other goodies added to it also include the onboard computer, the telephone with the hands-free function, the multimedia player with USB or in audio streaming, the navigation system on the new 7-inch touch sensitive tablet and so on. Changes haven’t stopped here because Citroen has also added two brand new diesel engines to the lineup, both of them meeting the Euro 6 emission standards. These are the BlueHDi 150 S&S, equipped with a manual 6-speed transmission, and the BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT, with a 6-speed gearbox. These units are available for all trim levels and they have improved the fuel consumption and lowered the CO2 emissions. No official figures or pricing details have been announced so far.
