The Citroen Cactus M Concept has been officially unveiled over the web for the moment.
Following some teaser images and leaked photos, the brand new Citroen Cactus M Concept is finally here as it has been officially unveiled by the French based automaker. The model in question has been based on the C4 Cactus and inspired by the Mehari. It is bringing a revised body with the lightweight plastic doors, the new windscreen, a “roof extension” for surfboard storing, an inflatable roof which can be used as a tent when it is not installed on the vehicle and several other goodies.
“At the Frankfurt International Motor Show, CITROËN is premiering a concept car inspired by the Méhari: the CITROËN CACTUS M. An ‘outdoor’ take on the C4 Cactus, this new concept car has a bright, upbeat personality. Looking beyond design, CITROËN is expressing a lifestyle approach with the CACTUS M, placing leisure at the heart of the automotive experience. At ease on all types of terrain and in all situations, the CACTUS M concept inspires a sense of well-being, freedom and escape”, says the automaker in the press release.
The interior design of the new Citroen Cactus M Concept is similar to the one used on the standard C4 Cactus but this has received the neoprene fabric seats, which are waterproof and they have been designed to resemble the wetsuits. The carmaker also says that the cabin can be hosed out thanks to the drainage holes in the floor. Additional details on the new Citroen Cactus M Concept are limited at this point and will be announced at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a couple of weeks, where the model will be making its public debut.
