Citroen is planning to introduce the brand new DS X7 in China next year, which will be produced by the Changan-PSA joint venture.
The French based automaker Citroen is planning to introduce a production version of the impressive DS Wild Rubis Concept. The model in question will be named the Citroen DS X7 and it will be produced in China next year, by the Changan-PSA joint venture. The model in question will ride on the same platform as the outgoing DS5 and it will get a 163 HP (121 kW) 1.6 liter turbocharged engine under its hood and it might also get a larger 1.8 liter unit. Production of the model will start in 2014 and deliveries are expected to begin in early 2015.
The Citroen DS Wild Tubis Concept has been officially presented to the public earlier this year, during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. The model in question stands at 4,70 meters in length, 1,95 meters in width and 1,59 meters in height, riding on a 2,9 meters wheelbase. The DS Wild Rubis Concept is powered by a 1.6 THP gasoline engine, with 225 HP (165 kW), backed up by an electric motor, fitted onto the rear axle, which is good for another 70 HP (51 kW). The production version of the DS Wild Rubis, the DS X7, will rival the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5.
