Citroen has recently released more details with the new DS3 Cabrio Racing, which has been officially unveiled, in pre-production form, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, this summer.
The new Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing is entering our news once again, this time with the company releasing some new details on it. As you can see from the images posted below, the production model looks very similar to the concept car and it’s following the same philosophy of combining the pleasure of owning a drop-top offered by the DS3 Cabrio, along with the performance of the DS3 Racing. Citroen says that the new DS3 Cabrio Racing is just 25 kg (55 lbs) heavier than the DS3 hatchback and the performance should be basically the same.
The model in question has received carbon fiber finish on several bodywork components, an air diffuser, wing flares, wraparound body sills, a splitter in the front bumper, twin exhaust pipes, a new body color, named the matt Moondark grey, along with a black roof and a glossy black finish for the 18-inch Nemesis alloy wheels, with Carmin Red on the center caps. The cabin of the DS3 Cabrio Racing is adding some new interior trims, Citroen Racing signature in the front headrests, a numbered identifications plaque and more. Power is still being provided by the 207 HP 1.6 liter turbocharged engine. Production will be limited to 1,000 units and order books will open on the 2nd of January, 2014.
