The French based automaker Citroen is planning to put the DS3 Cabrio Racing into production as such a model is believed to make its way onto the market sometimes next year.
Officially unveiled during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, just earlier this year, the new Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing is now being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker planning to introduce a production version of the model. The announcement hasn’t been made by Citroen and it’s actually a report published by Auto Express. According to our source, this vehicle, in its final production form, will be very similar to the concept car.
The new Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing will receive a sport styling and the optional Moondark mate exterior paint scheme. The cabin of the car will be borrowing some styling cues from the concept and it will also get the Nappa leather sport seats and the Alcantara accents. As far as the engine goes, the new Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing will be getting the 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, with its 200 HP (147 kW) and 275 Nm (203 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint should be made in 6.5 seconds. Only 400 units of the model are believed to be made.
