Citroen has produced 300,000 units of the DS3 at its Poissy facility, in France, after five years of production.
The French based automaker Citroen has created the 300,000th unit of the DS3. The announcement has been made recently as the model in question was assembled at the Poissy plant, in its homeland. The supermini has been in production since 2009 and it was designed by Mark Lloyd. The model is offered in two body styles, three-door hatchback and three-door convertible and it’s related to the Citroen C3, the C4 Cactus and the Peugeot 208. A couple of months ago, the car manufacturer has unveiled the facelifted version of the vehicle.
It has received some visible modifications in its front fascia, the LED headlights, LED taillights and some other tweaks. The updated version is also bringing a series of new engines, like the two diesels, meeting the Euro 6 emission standards, offered with 100 HP and 120 HP. These are joined by the PureTech e-VTi petrol burner, with its 82 HP, connected to the 5-speed automatic transmission Efficient Tronic. The 300,000th unit assembled in Poissy has been finished in the Perla Nera paint and it’s part of the So Irresistible limited series.
