Citroen is planning to introduce a new small crossover, the DS4 CS, on the Chinese automotive market.
China will gain a brand new Citroen model, the so-called DS4 CS. The vehicle in question has absolutely nothing in common with the C4 range or with the DS4 and it has been basically branded as an “SUV”, but it will be more of a crossover. Rumors are saying that the model in question will be based on the same platform as the Peugeot 2008 meaning that it will rival models like the Nissan Juke, the Renault Captur, the Opel Mokka, the Chevrolet Trax and so on, once it will be sold outside the Chinese market.
The new Citroen DS4 CS will be getting a 1.2 liter turbocharged engine once it will become available for order, which is believed to be similar to the one introduced on the award winning 308 compact car. This will be offered in two stages of tune, with 110 HP and 195 Nm of torque and with 130 HP and 230 Nm of torque. The new French crossover will be officially presented over the following months. More details on it remain unknown for the moment.
