The French based automaker Citroen has recently announced its plans to introduce the DSX Concept in April, during the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the Citroen DSX Concept is based on the same platform as the DS5 and the model is expected to hit the production line early next year. The final production version of the Citroen DSX Concept will arrive in China at first and it will then be launched in Europe too, by the end of 2014. The model will get a conventional engine, which will power the front wheels, and an electric motor, for the rear wheels, so it will basically get all-wheel drive.
The European variant of the Citroen DSX is expected to get a diesel-hybrid version, with a 163 HP (120 kW) diesel engine and a 37 HP (34 kW) electric motor, for a total output of 200 HP (147 kW), while in China, the model will receive a 1.6 liter THP petrol engine, with 243 HP. The Citroen DSX will be 4.7 meters long and on the Old Continent the model is rumored to be priced at 39,000 euros. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced in China, during the Shanghai Auto Show in April.
