The French based automaker Citroen is planning to introduce a new sedan which might be named the ID.
Codenamed the M43, the new model has leaked in a video posted online which was quickly removed by Citroen, but the guys over at Auto Motor und Sport managed to take a few screenshots. Thanks to their action we now have a clue about what the upcoming model will look like. According to the same source, the new sedan might be named the Citroen ID and the model is actually codenamed the M43, but there’s no official word on it yet.
As you can see from the images posted below, the Citroen ID has an European design and its shape is coming closer to its future German rivals. Styling of the upcoming model is highlighted by its prominent character lines and chrome accents. The images are also showing us a glimpse on the cabin which is coming with a three spoke steering wheel, some metallic trim and something which appears to be an infotainment system.
Sadly we don’t have any more details on the upcoming Citroen ID but according to the guys over at Auto Motor und Sport, the new model is expected to be launched in 2013.
