Citroen has released the first teaser image with the DS X7 SUV which will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.
The French based automaker Citroen is getting ready to introduce the new DS X7 SUV, which has been created specifically for the Chinese automotive market. The model in question will be officially presented to the public during the Beijing Motor Show, this month, and it will be assembled in the Asian country, by the Changan PSA joint venture. The new Citroen DS X7 SUV will share the same platform with the DS5 and with the DS5 LS, which are both produced in China.
The Citroen DS X7 has been already previewed, back in 2013, by the Wild Rubis Concept, and it will be coming with a 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 200 HP (149 kW) and 275 Nm (202 lb-ft) of torque. The same unit will also have a less powerful configuration of 163 HP (121 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque. A larger but less powerful naturally aspirated 1.8 liter will become available too, with 139 HP (103 kW) and 170 Nm (125 lb-ft) of torque. Prices for the model should start at 160,000 yuan (25,800 USD) and they can go up to 200,000 yuan (32,200 USD) for a top of the line version.
