Former Top Gear crew has started filming for the new Amazon car show.
When you are the most famous car journalists out there, mind generic you can pretty much do anything you want, no rx including a proper comparison between the “trinity” of hypercars, the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Porsche 918 Spyder and the McLaren P1. These were selected by James May, Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson for the debut of their new car show.
Jezza has selected the only British model which can out smoke most fast cars, the McLaren P1, and the Hamster has went for the Porsche 918 Spyder, as he is a big fan of the German brand. Left with the Ferrari LaFerrari, James May cannot really complain that much as this has the biggest HP figure out of the three. In the image posted above we can see the three presenters with the hypercars, the engineers, track people and the rest of the crew which is working on the new car show.
A recent report is stating that the new show might be called “Gear Knobs”, as this has been trademarked recently by Olswang LLP, a law firm which has collaborated with Clarkson in the past. It seems that “Speedbird” was also trademarked and rumor has it that this will be the name of the new “Stig”. There is no guarantee at this time that these two names will be used. The former Top Gear trio has signed a 3-season (12 episodes / season) deal with Amazon for 250 million USD.
