A classic, beautiful and very rare BMW 507, from 1958, has recently found a new owner after it has been sold at RM Auction’s Amelia Island event earlier this month, for an impressive 1.75 million euros.
A 1958 BMW 507 has managed to find a new owner at the RM Auctions, which took place at Amelia Island recently, as he had to pay no less than 1.75 million euros (2.42 million USD) before being able to take his new ride home. The classic BMW 507 in question has had two owners since it was new and it was first sold back in 1972. The vehicle retains its original engine and it’s certified by BMW Classic.
The odometer of the 507 is showing 17,563 km (10,913 miles) since it was remade, and back in the 1980s it has received the Wilton wool carpeting and the red Connoly leather, in 1997 a more complex interior restoration and in 2006 the body has been stripped and repaired and all panels have been finished in Graphite. Power is provided by a 3.2 liter V8 engine, with dual carburetors, rated at 145 HP. The model has a 4-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension, hydraulic front disc and rear drum brakes and much more. The BMW 507 has been made in just 252 units between 1956 and 1959.
