The British brand is celebrating its long and fruitful heritage via the latest Mini Seven special edition for the United States which brings a host of elegant design tweaks.
We already know and love the regular Mini hardtop for its modern appearance with retro styling touches that reclaim the brand’s heritage all the way back to the original Mini. US customers looking to experience the heritage might want to wait for this summer’s dealership release of the limited run Mini Seven. The model packs a few design upgrades to differentiate itself from the regular model and the moniker is an homage to the Austin Seven, which had been tasked back on April 4, 1959 to start the model’s long history when it left the Longbridge factory floor. The new Seven has a Lapisluxury Blue hue, taken from the Mini Yours customization program. This is a deep, non-metallic shade for added classic looks but customers can also go for Pepper White, Midnight Black metallic, or British Racing Green metallic. There’s also a Melting Silver roof and mirror caps. A touch of Malt Brown edges add the extra style and the massive badges around the side indicators make us notice the special edition.
The exterior looks are completed via the unique 17-inch wheels, with 18-inch wheels from Mini Yours available as optional goodies. Inside the cabin the trim features a high-class atmosphere, competed with front sports seats with a combination of black leather and plaid fabric. All Seven units get a 6.5-inch infotainment system, and owners can also upgrade to the 8.8-inch unit with navigation. The new Seven edition is delivered with the 134-horsepower Cooper and 189-hp Cooper S trims for the two-door Hardtop and 4 Door model in the United States. Pricing will be revealed closer to launch and the models remain mechanically identical to the regular versions, with six-speed manual as standard and a six speed auto on the options list.
