Get your music and Ferrari obsessions in line with the beautiful F40 supercar that was formerly owned by rock and roll legend Eric Clapton – as the famous guys is an avid collector of Prancing Horse cars.
You can see someone has a passion for Ferraris when they order a bespoke one-off – for example Clapton did it back in 2012 with a custom mod on the 458 Italia, called SP12 EPC, which reportedly cost him a whopping $4.7 million. This time around you can have another Eric Clapton-owned Ferrari for a tad less, with the seller asking a medical $1.1 million (£925,000) – not at all expensive considering the lineage and condition. We’re talking about lineage and condition – offering Clapton’s 1991 F40. This is of course one legendary Ferrari, and was the prized possession of Clapton from 2000 to 2003 – also having just 11,732 miles (10,881 kilometers) since new.
It comes with the natural Rosso Corsa red exterior, a matching deep red interior, and even has a factory-fitted catalytic converter, as well as a fuel system refresh since 2008 – with the original 2.9-liter biturbo V8 remaining in place, capable of up to 471 horsepower (352 kilowatts) and 425 pound-feet (576 Newton-meters) of torque. It has all of its original tools and service books, and the F40 apparently had a “highly pampered life.”
