Former Top Gear Stig Ben Collins will be grabbing the wheel in a Ford Mustang GT350R this weekend at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The announcement has been made public recently and the most track-oriented version of the Mustang ever offered for street use will be helping Ben Collins try to attempt an incredibly fast lap or to simply drive it for the public on the course. Stay tuned for more info on the topic and for the video with Ben Collins run in the impressive muscle car.
The new Shelby GT350R Mustang has made its public debut back in January, during the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. The model in question is different than the GT350 Mustang and it is getting a lot of aerodynamic improvements, a lower weight and some chassis engineering. All of these are being translated into a faster vehicle. The muscle car is also getting a new body kit, with the front splitter, the updated fender vents, the hood vent, the more aerodynamic diffuser and several other goodies. The most important part is found under its hood where the 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine is found. This is capable of putting down a total of 526 HP (392 kW) and 580 Nm (429 lb-ft) of torque. No performance specifications are being known at this time.
