McLaren is planning to introduce a roadster version of the recently unveiled 675LT Spider.
The McLaren 675LT is going to receive a second version in the near future, the 675LT Spider. According to a recent report, the model in question is currently in the works and it is expected to come out sometimes in 2016. The supercar will also be offered in a limited number, just like its solid roof brother, and it will be more expensive. The only main differences will be in its total weight, which will slightly increase in order to cope with the folding hardtop, and the roof, which will be “droppable”.
Under its hood, we will be finding the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine which will be producing exactly the same output as the 675LT. This basically means that you should expect a total of 675 HP and 700 Nm of torque, which will be allowing the exotic model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds and to go up to a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). The supercar will get the air conditioning unit incorporated into the touch screen infotainment system as well, along with the Alcantara upholstery and the ultra lightweight forged alloy wheels. Keep in mind that the McLaren 675LT has been offered in just 500 units and that all of them have been completely sold out and expect a similar “reaction” for its drop-top brother.
